Denali, Carlin, and George

Denali, the Malamute, under the dinner table
This a picture of my ultra-cool Alaskan Malamute, named Denali, who we got from the Santa Fe animal shelter. He's a very sweet animal who absolutely adores the family; and unlike many dogs, he happens to be well-behaved, albeit a bit stubborn. This is a cute picture of Denali standing warily under the dinner table soon after we rescued him in August, 1997 (he was about one year old then).

Denali and Carlin on a cross-country ski trip
This is a nice wintery photo of Denali and Carlin, our greyhound, playing in the snow. This was taken by my sister, Natalie, when she was home for Thanksgiving. This is an A+ photo. Good job, Nat!

Denali again
Here's another picture of Denali getting old-fashioned TLC from my younger sister, Jackie; and after we allowed him to get fat (just a little).

George, our Husky/Chow mutt
This is George, the dog we got in 1993 after our Irish setter, Tara, died. George is a true mutt; he's a Siberian Husky and Chow mix, with perhaps a few other breeds thrown in. He now lives in California with my older sister, Natalie. He's cool too, though he's scared of guys. He always runs away or under the bed when a man walks by. He does let me pet him sometimes, though.
